We have spent the past few months creating a passion project where we aimed to merge culture, fashion, and photography. This project, named ‘Identity Gleam,’ highlights the unique beauty and cultural importance of grillz.. This project consists of a series of portraits of various influential individuals. For us, they are more than just portraits; they are a celebration of identity, style, and personal history. Grillz, the sparkling jewelry for teeth, are more than a fashion accessory. They carry a rich history dating back to the ancient Mayans, who decorated their teeth with jade and gold as a sign of wealth and status. In contemporary culture, grillz have evolved into symbols of pride, rebellion, and creative self-expression. Our series captures this evolution, with each portrait telling a personal story of cultural diversity and individual flair. The making of grillz is an art in itself.
